The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has attributed  project delivery momentum under his watch  to President Bola Tinubu’s support.

He stated this after inspection tour of some ongoing projects across the territory, on Wednesday.

Wike said project delivery is not about the amount of money but commitment with the President’s backing.

He said,” What is important is to be able to utilize the funds in a very prudential way. If you see what we have been doing through our IGR, we make sure that it is being committed to projects and we inspect to make sure that those projects are going on. Projects that we don’t have the money to fund, we are not going to award such a contract.

“The President’s backing drives our momentum, showing commitment to providing basic infrastructure for students, boosting education quality. We ensure the support isn’t just symbolic, but getting jobs done.”

Asked on the current state of Peoples Democratic Party, Wike told journalists that despite  the planned convention there is still room for reconciliation.

The Minister explained that, “There is only one PDP. So it would be wrong for me to say the other camp. I don’t know whether any other camp exists. But we know that naturally there are some individuals that may not be happy. If you say so, okay yes, some individuals may not be happy and have called to say let bygone be bygone, but not faction. There’s only one PDP now” Wike said.
