The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Officer for Nkanu East LGA of Enugu State, Ogbene Nnaemeka, has cried out over threats to his life.

Ogbene, whose LGA results generated heavy controversies at the state collation centre Sunday night, following the allegations that he announced results that were different from what was in the INEC’s IReV, said calls by unknown persons threatening to him was giving him great concern. There had been allegations that the governoship results from Nkanu East LGA, where he served as Collation Officer, were computed without the use of BVAS amidst irreconcilable differences between his announced results and what was on IReV.

Ogbene said, “Let me say this on national television. My life is under threat. Someone posted my pictures on several social platforms and since then, i have been receiving different kinds of threat calls from unknown persons.

“Let me make this clear. I am not the one that generated these results. My job is to announce them. I was not there”.
