Just a day after the Adoration Ministry was reopened on the permission of the Catholic Bishop of Enugu over some of the utterances and politically-related preaching of its Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Camilleus Ejike Mbaka, the Self-acclaimed seer has been transferred from the Ministry and moved to a Monastery.

Mbaka had ignited fresh controversy when he spoke during his first mass after being banned for months on Sunday, toeing the same line by announcing that “many people are wasting their time in the 2023 general elections. God said I should not reveal it. But as it stands, many people are wasting their time.

“The Lord said that the vision shall surely come to pass even if it tarries, just wait for it.

“If not for the warning of the Holy Spirit I would have given Nigeria a simple solution. But just wait.”

However, in the place of Mbaka, another clergy of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi, was posted to take charge of the Adoration Ministry.

Mbaka was moved to Monastery. The transfer is with immediate effect.

A top member of the ministry, who confirmed the posting, described the new development as unfortunate, exposing his suport for the priest who chose to disobey his Bishop.

According to him, “all along, the Bishop has been trying to take over the Adoration Ministry.

“But I can assure you that no priest will succeed there. So long as Father Mbaka is not there, nobody will come there to worship.

“This will lead to anarchy. It’s unthinkable that this kind of harsh decision could be made. We the adorers will never accept any other priest.

“Fr. Mbaka suffered and built that place will sole effort. Now they have tactically hijacked the place through the backyard. Let’s see how they will succeed.”

Recall that when Fr. Mbaka was transferred from the Sacred Heart Parish, GRA, Enugu, and asked to move the Adoration Ministry to Emene, the Priest literally insulted his Bishop, vowing not to move to the new place.

But not long after he moved to the place, which has larger space for the hundreds of thousands of Adorers who throng to the ministry, he adopted another style, which was to abuse politicians who could not make huge sums of money in donation as requested by him.

He also crossed the red lines by engaging in incendiary political preaching contrary to the manner the Catholic Church and his Bishop advised priests to engage in political talks.

In 2015, he couched the infamous “from goodluck to badluck”, which is derogatory phrases he constructed against then President Goodluck Jonathan.

After he left support to President Muhammadu Buhari and their romance appeared no longer rosy, he turned tiger against the president, suggesting that he was doing all those for pecuniary gains, rather than as directed by the spirit, as he claims.

Mbaka’s recent troubles started three months ago after he preached against the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, calling him all forms of derogatory names and pronouncing that “God will not allow him win the presidential election because he is a stingy man”.
