Labour Party (LP), presidential candidate Peter Obi, has taken to his verified Twitter page to react after his Obidient supporters in Port Harcourt. Makurdi and Afikpo defied the rains to showcase their enthusiasm for his aspiration. The marches came in the form of  “Two Million March For Peter Obi” in the three cities.

Recall that pictures and videos from marches in some states had generated massive reactions from social media users.

The rallies for Peter Obi took place in Port Harcourt, Auchi, Makurdi and Afikpo.

There were reports of downpour in Port Harcourt and Afikpo, however, the supporters, mostly youths defied the rain and marched in their numbers from the popular Oil Mill Market to the Isaac Boro Park in Port Harcourt.

The march is part of the support for the Obi/Datti 2023 presidential ticket.

Reacting to the development, Obi who is currently outside the country appreciated the supporters, adding that he is watching the developments and that their labour will not be in vain.

Obi wrote: “We are watching as Port Harcourt, Auchi, Makurdi and Afikpo move OBIdiently today, under the sun and in the rain.

“Constitutional rights to peaceful assembly are protected and must be respected by all.

“Our labours will never be in vain. I appreciate you all”.
