*Warns opposition unity key to defeating APC

A prominent figure in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Buba Galadima, has called on former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar to align with the party as part of efforts to build a strong opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during interview on Politics Today on Channels Television, Galadima stated that several opposition leaders were already gravitating towards the NDC in a bid to form a united political front capable of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He expressed concerns that the current administration might deploy legal strategies to undermine opposition parties, stressing that unity under a single platform remains critical to counter such moves.

Galadima cautioned that Atiku’s decision would have significant implications for the opposition’s chances in 2027, noting that failure to join the NDC could weaken collective efforts to unseat the APC.

However, he maintained that the final decision rests solely with the former presidential candidate.
