“The Command has intensified and efforts to identify and apprehend other persons who may be connected with the attack.

“We will continue to pursue all available leads in order to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring anyone found culpable to justice,” the PPRO stated.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Ayodeji Faniyan, assured the residents that “the Command, under his leadership, is doing everything within its constitutional powers to ensure that the perpetrators of the attack, including anyone found to have sponsored, aided, abetted or participated in the act, are identified, arrested and made to face the full weight of the law.”

The Commissioner further tasked the residents, particularly those in the affected and neighbouring communities, “to remain vigilant and provide the security with timely, accurate and credible information that could assist in preventing crime, detecting criminal activities and apprehending offenders.”
