Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has paid an emotional tribute to her late colleague, Alex Ekubo, nearly three months after his passing, saying she is still struggling to come to terms with the painful reality of his death.

In a heartfelt post shared on Instagram, the actress reflected on the memories they created together and admitted that accepting his absence has been one of the hardest experiences of her life.

Prompt News reports Nancy said she has deliberately avoided allowing the full weight of the loss to sink in because it remains too painful to bear.

“One vital lesson I’ve learnt is to capture as many memories as we can with our people! Thank God for Instagram stories archive!” she wrote.

She shared photos and videos from some of their final moments together, including their last movie set, a hosting event, an international trip and the last public birthday message Alex dedicated to her.

The actress also spoke about the lessons grief has taught her, noting that life often presents challenges no one prepares for.

“Life loves teaching you lessons you didn’t ask for, doesn’t it? The lessons this season have taught me, wow!! But in all things, we must give thanks!… So I’m thankful,” she added.

Nancy described Alex as someone whose legacy would continue to live on, insisting that he would never be forgotten.

“A Man like Alexx Ikuku Ekubo can never be forgotten. Legends never die; they transition. Forever and a day in our hearts.

“Fam, what’s your favourite Alexx saying? Keep it going in the comments,” she wrote.
