*Say journey to Aso Rock has officially begun

The publication of the particulars and bio-data of 2027 presidential candidates by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which confirmed Prince Adewole Adebayo as the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has triggered a wave of congratulatory messages from party leaders and supporters across the country.

Leading the goodwill messages was the Chairman of the SDP in Delta State, Mr. Felix Obuseh, who described Adebayo’s clearance by the electoral umpire as the beginning of an historic march to the Presidency.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Delta State chapter of the party, Obuseh said “Adebayo’s appearance on INEC’s official list had rekindled the hopes of millions of Nigerians seeking competent, honest and people-oriented leadership after years of economic hardship and governance challenges.

“This marks the beginning of a historic journey to Aso Rock,” Obuseh declared. “Your emergence has renewed the hope of millions of Nigerians who desire competent, honest and people-centred leadership.”

Expressing confidence in the party’s electoral prospects, the Delta SDP chairman said the path to the 2027 presidential election was now clearly defined, insisting that victory was achievable with the support of Nigerians.

“The road to 2027 is clear, and Aso Rock is within reach. With God on our side, the support of Nigerians, and our collective determination, victory is certain,” he stated.

Obuseh further assured the party’s presidential standard-bearer that the entire SDP family in Delta State would remain steadfast in mobilising support for his election, declaring that the state stood firmly behind him “all the way to victory.”

Also joining other party leaders in congratulating Adebayo was the Chairman of the SDP Zamfara State Chapter, Arc. Bilal Aliyu Gusau, who welcomed the official confirmation of the party’s presidential ticket by INEC and wished the presidential candidate a successful campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.

Similarly, Comrade Cotterell Tumbodiaa described the publication of the presidential ticket by INEC as a significant milestone in the party’s quest to provide Nigeria with a credible alternative.

In his goodwill message, Tumbodiaa said Adebayo’s successful clearance, alongside his vice-presidential running mate, reflected his resilience, steadfast leadership and unwavering commitment to building a better Nigeria.

He prayed for divine wisdom, strength, good health and guidance for the SDP candidate as he embarks on what he described as a historic campaign to rescue the country.

“Congratulations once again, Your Excellency. Wishing you success in the campaign ahead,” Tumbodiaa said.

The congratulatory messages underscore the growing optimism within the Social Democratic Party following INEC’s confirmation of its presidential ticket, as the party begins preparations for nationwide campaigns ahead of the 2027 general election.

Party faithful have expressed confidence that Adebayo’s candidacy will resonate with Nigerians looking for a leadership defined by competence, accountability and adherence to the ideals of social democracy.
