Independent National Electoral Commission has struck out the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro from its portal as National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party and replaced them with Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran and Eyim Donatus Henry.

This is coming on the heels of a fresh update on the commission’s website, which now reflects a National Working Committee list largely aligned with the faction of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Recall that Oladiran and Henry had emerged as National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary, respectively, at the PDP’s national convention held on March 29 at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, where 19 other national officers were also elected through consensus.

The delisted officials, Yayari and Woyengikuro, belong to the Seyi Makinde-backed Kabiru Turaki-led faction, while the newly listed officers are aligned with the Wike-backed group, which INEC had earlier appeared to recognise.

With this development, the updated INEC portal now lists the Wike-backed NWC leadership, including Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, alongside other principal and deputy officers across various positions in the party.

Other members listed include deputy national chairmen (North and South), national and deputy national officers for organising, publicity, legal affairs, women and youth wings, as well as finance and audit departments.

The latest update effectively resolves earlier discrepancies on the INEC portal, which had shown a mixed list of executives from both factions, generating confusion within the party’s national leadership structure.
