The healthcare unit of Hope Rising for Imolites, a Foundation founded and funded by Barr. Dr. Obioma Success Akagburuonye, stated that it has carried out over one million free medical treatment of patients with over one thousand surgeries, adding that almost every week the Foundation sends patients to the Military Specialist Hospital, for treatment at no cost to them.

The lead medical Consultant, Dr Humble Chimobi Evuchuiwe disclosed this on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Noah’s Ark, Assemblies of God Church, Ogbor Uvuru, Mbaise, Imo State, during the post 60th Birthday thanksgiving service of the Founder and Promoter of Hope Rising for Imolites, Barr. Success Akagburuonye.

The birthday and biography launch which held on February 22, 2026, attracted eminent Personalities from within and outside Nigeria, including former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, Imo State Deputy Governor, Dr Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru, Prof. Uche Azikiwe, Bishop Senator Anthony Muse, an American Parliamentarian, among others.

Akagburuonye, whose life trajectory is laced with philanthropy and Kingdom investment, has bankrolled so many projects and programmes for the upliftment of Imo communities, youths, women, children, the aged, and churches, through Hope Rising Foundation.

A Governorship Aspirant for Imo Douglas House in 2028, Akagburuonye has demonstrated uncommon leadership strength, courage, and compassion towards Imo people, setting an unbeatable agenda for his political rise.

He acknowledged the good leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma and the infrastructure development going on in Imo State as well as improved security, declaring that Imo State is winning the “war”.

“God gave us a Governor that is people-oriented and it’s high time we started telling ourselves the truth. The good work Governor Hope Uzodimma is doing in Imo State even the blind could see it. You have heard at different times where he was honoured for the good things he is doing in Imo State, including security – thank God we are winning the war.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart has trained thousands of Imo youths and women in different skills acquisition programmes, even as he has built, renovated, and reconstructed several churches in Imo State and beyond, including the latest, St. Theresa’s Catholic church, Uvuru, that was commissioned on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

The Akaraugo of Igboland, who emphasised that the secret of his success lies in Kingdom investment noted that every good gesture towards the service to God would always have a positive reward, as he enjoined the congregants, friends and well-wishers not to relent in investing in God’s service.

“I can’t count my blessings enough. I can only tell you the secret of my blessings which I have been shouting into the ears of anybody who cares to listen – the secret of my blessings is Kingdom investment.”

Explaining how the medical treatments are taken to the grassroot for inclusive health delivery and the cost of delivering such life-saving service, Dr Evuchuiwe said, “Through Barr. Success Akagburuonye we brought this healthcare to the grassroot – the man that has hernia we do the surgery and he goes back to farm, the woman that has glaucoma when we finish the surgery she goes back to the shop.

“So far we can equate that we have done up to one million medical treatment of patients and in excess of one thousand surgeries. Almost every week Barr. Akagburuonye sends patients to Military Specialist Hospital. And what Akagburuonye has put in to deliver this service is not less than N150 million (One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira).”
