Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has described the forthcoming 2027 general elections as a war.

Yesufu made this statement on Thursday during a live interview programme on Channels Television where she spoke about the 2027 general elections.

The co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls Movement further said that the 2027 election is a fight for the soul of Nigeria, adding that it is no longer business as usual.

“As we go into 2027, let me tell you, it’s a war we are going into. Yes, it’s a war; we are fighting for our lives. Every one of us, there is a bed in the psychiatric hospital for every one of us who wants to show that madness.

“We are not going to sit back while some people think that they have the monopoly on anyhowness or madness.

“APC has not shown it’s a party that has the credibility to do the right thing. It has always shown itself to behave in an ‘any-howness’-kind of manner.

“Of course, we know those things are going to come, but we are confident about the fact that Nigerians are tired,” she said.
