Parents of Nigerian students studying abroad under government scholarship programs blocked the entrance of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja on Monday.

According to the parents, their children, enrolled in various bilateral education agreements and other scholarship schemes, have not received stipends for 16 months.
An additional eight-month shortfall in payments remains unresolved, they said, intensifying frustration among families.

Parents called on government authorities to intervene promptly to ensure that students receive their funds and can continue their studies without financial hardship.
