The South-East Senate Caucus has lauded the Dangote Group’s multi-billion dollar refinery and petrochemical plant in Lagos, saying it has positioned Nigeria as a hub for successful and resilient entrepreneurs.

Led by Chairman Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, the caucus visited the facility, commending the federal government’s fiscal initiatives that support local manufacturers.

The Senators urged the government to continue supporting Nigerian industrialists and entrepreneurs, saying the refinery is a testament to the country’s potential.

“This plant is a pride to not only Nigerians but the whole of Africa,” Abaribe said, praising Aliko Dangote’s patriotic zeal.

Dangote Group Vice-President Devakumar Edwin, said the company is expanding the refinery to triple its daily production capacity of 650,000 liters of premium motor spirit and other petroleum products.

He declared that the group is committed to showcasing Nigeria’s energy potential to the world.

The caucus assured Dangote of their support, promising to sponsor legislation to ease doing business in Nigeria.

Abaribe described the refinery as a “true testament that the future of this country is very bright,” urging Dangote to continue his efforts despite global economic pressures.
