Ms. Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger who recently sparked controversy on the path between her and the airline, has denied reports claiming she has filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Ibom Air, and others.

Emmanson, in a statement, shared via her Instagram page on Saturday, described the report as “false and misleading”.

She stated: “My attention has been drawn to a fake report claiming that I have filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, NCAA, and others. This information is false and misleading. I have not taken any such legal action yet”.

She stated that if she eventually files a lawsuit over her ordeal, she would personally announce it to the public through her verified page.

Emmanson equally disassociated herself from Ayodele Ademiluyi, the lawyer reportedly behind the suit, stressing that her legal representative remains Adam Atakpa of Kippraise Attorneys.

“When I eventually do anything of such nature (which is imminent), I will personally update the public myself via my official page,” she said.

Recall that Ms. Emmanson was briefly detained at the Kirikiri Maximum Security Correctional facility before she was released following the intervention of the Minister of Aviation, Barr. Festus Keyamo, SAN.
