The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) standard bearer in the August 16 Anambra South senatorial rerun, Dr Emma Nwachukwu (Onodugo) has expressed his commitment to giving the zone a responsible and responsive representation.

Dr Nwachukwu who was speaking during the Anambra State Council of NUJ, August Congress said that he has enough experience to compliment Gov Soludo’s transformational leadership in his senatorial zone.

The APGA candidate who is an Accountant of many years standing and key player in Telecoms and Oil and Gas sectors said he would employ the federal legislative platform to protect the business Community by promoting industrial and commercial ventures.

Dr Nwachukwu who was the former President General (PG) of Ukpor in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State said that his tenure as PG which witnessed unprecedented developmental strides was a very interesting period of learning for him.

He said as matter of fact that he would also employ the senatorial seat to get opportunities at the federal ministries and other avenue to empower his constituents who are not in business sector.

Onodugo assured his constituents of constant and regular parley with the President Generals(PGs) in the zone.

“Beyond all the above commitments which I have entered with my people, I will use my experience to contribute meaningfully at the committee level of the Senate so as to attract democratic dividends for Ndi-Anambra South senatorial zone.

“Power generation, rail construction, restructuring, women and youths development will occupy the front burner while I am representing my people in the Senate, the current National Assembly has  just two years to wind up but it is enough for maxima impact.

“Prof Soludo is ntentional about women development, when appointment was being made for Transition Committee members, the governor insisted on three nominees which must include a women, that’s APGA policy and we will continue on that,” he said.

The APGA candidate who highlighted some of his achievements as PG of Ukpor applauded Gov Soludo’s transformational leadership which according to has positively transformed Anambra State.

He expressed his readiness to be part of lawmaking process that will ensure effective policing of the zone by making the Governors the Chief Security Officers of their States indeed.

The APGA candidate used the occasion the conference to dispel the falsehood about his emergence as the standard bearer of the party noting that he won fair and free in a due process supervised by Gov Soludo.
