Obi, Otti, Umeh, Nwoye, endorse Moghalu as LP flags off campaign in Anambra

The Labour Party(LP) governorship candidate for November 8th Anambra guber polls, Dr. George Moghalu, has promised to give the state a quality and qualitative governance.

This was as the former Governor of the state and the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi; the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, Senators Victor Umeh and Tony Nwoye; Hon. George Ozodinobi, Hon. Emeka Idu, Prof Lilian Orogbu, Hon Uchenna Okonkwo and several other political heavyweights from the state endorse Muoghalu, asking Anambra electorates to vote for him.

Chief Moghalu made the pledge at All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha last weekend during the flag off of his campaign.

He said his administration would ask people to pay tax but will never unleash pestle wielding touts on the good people of the State.

The State Chairman of LP, who was represented by Ven Chris Orajiekwe welcomed everyone to the flag off the rally. He commended the organizing committee for doing a great job.

Ven. Orajiekwe said that it’s time to shake Anambra State for positivism even as he pointed out that the state is not exclusively owned by any individual.

He who said that Anambra would henceforth become an LP State, extolled the capacity and capability of the party which he noted has massive structure across the State.

“LP will deliver Ndi-Anambra from Ndi aka Odo and bad governance, LGAs will have functional health center, effective security network, where people can sleep with their two eyes closed,” he said.

The LP chairman said that the party carefully searched for a credible, competent and capable personality and unanimously agreed on Dr Moghalu.

The presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi in his speech recalled his outstanding performance in office as the governor of Anambra State.

He said that Chief Moghalu and his running mate are coming to replicate the positive change he occasioned in the state.

“We are here to inaugurate George Moghalu’s campaign, he is our party standard bearer, LP part of coalition for 2027 Presidential election, I am a full member of LP. Let it be sounded on the mountains, I will contest for presidency in 2027, no one is better than me.

“My achievements are there for all to see, the brewery they said is the only thing I did is highest tax payer in Anambra State today,” he said 

Mr Peter Obi pointed out that LP decided on Decided to have a female deputy so that families can be effectively cared for.

In his speech, the LP governorship candidate thanked the people for trooping out in their good numbers to be part of the campaign flag off ceremony.

Dr Moghalu said that he and his running mate would govern the state with fewr of God relying heavily on the grace of God.

Other party leaders including Chief Clement Ojukwu (Deputy National Chairman) and other personalities graced the occasion.
