Troops capture notorious ISWAP Commander Baana

Nigerian troops have reportedly captured one of the most notorious commanders of dreaded terrorist group, the Islamic State of West Africa (ISWAP), Alhaji Baana.

The gallant troops also eliminated another ISWAP Commander known as Salafi, on Sunday afternoon.

“The Nigerian army has not confirmed the capture but top military operatives who are aware of the capture said he was captured on Sunday based on a renewed offensive by gallant troops,” the report said.

It noted that Baana was behind the death of hundreds of on Nigerian troops and civilians.
