Both campuses of the University Nigeria at Nsukka and Enugu were shutdown by students who Thursday received leading Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

The candidate who is on campaign tour of Enugu made a stop over at Nsukka where all students and lecturers trooped out en masse to receive their hero.

All other activities were punctuated as a massive crowd intercepted Obi’s convoy and marched with him all the way to the Magaret Ekpo Refectory where he addressed the crowd.

A tumultuous crowd also received the number one Presidential candidate at the Enugu campus of the institution.

Obi who said if it were possible for him he would visit the entire Universities, Polytechnics and all high institutions in Nigeria, urged the youths to seize the opportunity of the coming election to take-back their country.

He urged them to vote wisely and ensure they vote for people with verifiable records who have the interest of the youths at heart.

He assured that he is coming to liberate the country from its present of decay and backwardness.

“Nigeria must be recovered and we have the ability, we are also ready to turn things around for the better,” he said.

Obi’s leaving the UNN, Nsukka Campus became an herculean task as he was layer whisked away to the helipad through the back door of the Margarette Ekpo Refectory Hall, yet the crowd pursued him joyfully until he was dragged into the chopper by the pilot.
