IHRO proposes roadmap to address children, women challenges

The International Human Rights Observatory (IHRO) has proposed a roadmap to protect rights of women and children in either the workplace or  bridge knowledge gaps and provide infrastructure for women across rural areas. 

Briefing Journalists on Friday in Abuja, the group Patron Africa, Kenneth Ibe – Kalu said  plans are underway for the launch of IHRO headquarters next week.

He stated that during the event scheduled to hold in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) strategic investors from India would engage with the Nigeria partners towards joint ventures activities in diverse sectors.

The areas include agro solutions, food processing and will focus on water bottling and juice plant, electric vehicles, mini truck, electric tractor, agricultural transport vehicles and agricultural equipment.

Other areas are GPS vehicle tracking, fleet management, rural mobile tele – interoperability and higher education institution.

He explained that the launch is aimed at fostering empowerment of rural women in Nigeria  in collaboration with International Human Rights Commission, American United Nations Team the International Royal Academy of United Nations.

Kalu said the programme will also involved awards for outstanding, states person, Humanitarian service and Outstanding Humanitarian for Africa.

According to him, the event tagged: ‘1st Indian – Nigerian International Trade Exhibition 2022’ would brought together very eminent stakeholders; all African Embassies in Nigeria, Ministries of Justice, Women Affairs, Commerce, trade and industries at both Federal and State  levels and many others.

He stated that the core objective of the IHRO resolves around the aim of ‘Human Rights are women Rights’.

“The core objective of the IHRO resolves around the aim of ‘Human Rights are Women Rights’ hence undertakes women empowerment as are protection of Rights of Women and Children in either the workplace or elsewhere by bridging knowledge gaps and providing social infrastructure for women especially in rural areas such as safe drinking water, provision of sanitary facilities for women, violence redressal institutions”
