Ahead of the 2023 General Election, the impeccable economic management track records of the candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi while in government and as business executive are responsible for the huge support the former Governor of Anambra state is receiving across Nigeria.

Also, Obi’s good knowledge of the many economic and political problems plaguing Nigeria and his promise to fix them have endeared him in the hearts of millions of suffering Nigerians hence they are flocking around Labour Party and its candidate.

These are the submissions of Labour Party Senatorial candidate, Senator Victor Umeh while appearing on Channels Television breakfast programme Sunrise Daily on Wednesday.

Senator Umeh who once represented Anambra Central Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate under All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) before joining Labour Party recently, said that Peter Obi has become a movement and there is no stopping him.

According to him Peter Obi represents the “New Order” because of his message of hope which he is preaching to millions of suffering Nigerians, arguing that Nigerians he is the only presidential candidate who is telling Nigerians how he will fix the badly damaged country.

Said he: “Peter Obi has become a Movement. His messaging is clear and direct hence anyone who is suffering in Nigeria has been won over. The truth is that there is no single Nigerian out there that is not currently confronted by harsh economy problems. This why Nigerians will vote massively for Labour Party”.

On the insinuations that Peter Obi and Labour Party have  no structures like the ruling and major opposition parties, All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umeh insists that Labour Party is the party to beat in the 2023 General Election.

“Those saying Peter Obi has no structure are in for a rude shock. How can they say that when the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is backing the Labour Party candidate. Look, they have pledged their 12 million votes for Peter Obi.

There is no family in Nigeria that has no worker, in formal and informal sectors.

“Again, there are branches of NLC in 774 Local  Government Areas (LGA) in Nigeria  and Six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

774 Local Government Areas (LGA) and Six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This means that Labour Party has structures in these 774 LGAs and Six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)”.

Umeh however said that  structures or no structures Nigerians are ready to give the Labour Party flag bearer Peter Obi a chance to fix Nigeria because the two big parties have ruled Nigeria and failed to improve the lots of Nigerians.
