Young Enugu girl supports Peter Obi with her savings

Covenant Onyebuchi a young undergraduate girl took the opportunity of Labour Party Presidential Candidate Mr. Peter Obi vist to Urban Radio, Enugu to give her ‘widows mite’ to support his campaign.

The girl who lives in the neighborhood said the savings which she handed over is not just about the money, but her blessings which she has prayed for over time.

“I have been saving for this. Yesterday I prayed to God that I want to bless a humble man. Today I heard that Peter Obi is at Urban radio. I live in the neighborhood so I decided to see if I could meet him.

“God has answered my prayer because I am about to bless a humble man even though I have no name or fame. Nigeria shall receive blessings through you,” she prayed for Obi.
A crowd of supporters had gathered to show support and solidarity immediately after the 30 minutes radio progrmame which lasted for 30 minutes.

and the young girl braved the odd of facing the fierce-looking security operatives detailed to provide security for Peter to make the widow’s mite presentation.

Afraid and jittery initially, she couldn’t approach Peter with her envelope when he emerged from the studios but had to run after his car as he was about leaving the premises, knocking on the windows of the vehicle to attract Peter’s attention which prompted him to stop to hear what she had to say to him.

Eyewitnesses said Convenant fell twice as she went after the car but she remained undeterred, until she had satisfied herself by gifting the Labour Party candidate.

Obi was in the company of former APGA National Chairman and Labour Party Senatorial candidate in Anambra, Senator Victor Umeh.

Also present is the Oji-River Local Government Labour Party Chairman, Dr. Mc Ginger Ibeneme among several enthusiasts, mainly young Nigerians who thronged the radio station to catch a glimpse of Mr. Obi and cheer him.
