Porto attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira has agreed a five-year deal with Arsenal in a move that could could rise to more than £34million after the two clubs reached an agreement.

Portuguese Vieira becomes Mikel Arteta‘s third summer signing after the arrivals of goalkeeper Matt Taylor from the MLS, and talented Marquinhos who joined from Sao Paulo.

Record report that Arsenal will pay an initial £30million with the fee rising by another £5million in add-ons as the 22-year-old makes the switch to the Premier League.

Vieira will travel to London to complete his medical in the next few hours before signing a lengthy contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.

The deal is viewed as good business by the London club after they managed to wrap up a deal with the Primeira Liga champions for less than Vieira’s quoted release clause of £43million.

The attack-minded midfielder rose through the ranks of Porto’s academy before going on to make his senior debut for the first-team in 2020.

Vieira has received high praise from Porto supporters after he scored seven goals and registered 16 assists on their way to claiming a 30th division title last season.
