American University honours Osanyin, others with Honorary Ph.D

Following their outstanding achievement, a Financial expert, Babajide Osanyin  has been nominated for the conferment of honorary doctorate (Honouris Causa) in Political Science by Prowess University, Delaware  United States of America(USA) .

The awardee, a member of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations(NIPR)  is amongst few eminent Nigerians shortlisted for the prestigious honour. 

The chairman of the Award Selection Committee of the university, Professor Chidi Justice said  Osanyin earned the recognition based on his philanthropic gestures and  fight  for the underprivileged in the society

Pointing out some of the factors that qualified the them, he said, “You have been identified by our investigative team and confirmed by opinion molders across the country as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged in the society.

“No doubt, you have been singled out as a proponent of national development, humanitarianism and transformational leadership, a firm believer in selfless service to humanity” the chairman said .

Others  awardees are, Former Secretary and serving national ex -officio members of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Hellen  Taiwo-Adebakin,  two former members of the House of Representatives, Hon Ladi Adebutu, who is also a Governorship Aspirant  of the PDP for Ogun State and Hon Rita Orji from Lagos State.

The ceremony, according  to the University’s partner in Nigeria – The Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies, is slated to hold on Saturday at the University of Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
