Worldwide Igbo Clergies Association, WICA, Kubwa Chapter, has elected new executive to pilot its affairs for the next three years.
The election conducted by the President of the association Rev. Dr. Umahi Chukwudi, and the National Secretary Rev. Felix Nwali, who doubled as the chairman of the electoral committee, was peaceful.
The following persons were unanimously elected: Apostle Dr. Godson Frederick, chairman; Pastor Anthony Okafor, vice chairman; Rev. Dr. Okechukwu Ifeachor, secretary; Pastor David Amarachi, treasurer; Pastor Mrs. Ann Agukwe, financial secretary;
Pastor Chimeka Victor, publicity and media and Prophet Micah Ugochukwu Orshi, protocol.
Others who were unanimously elected are Pastor Godwin Ikechukwu, legal adviser/award secretary; Rev. Benedict Abaleke, secretary political affairs and civic matters; Prophetess Peace Ebube Frederick, welfare; Evangelist Favour Blessed, prayer secretary, and Pastor Paul Akweze, secretary for membership expansion and unification.
The national president of WICA, Rev. Dr. Umahi while congratulating the newly elected officials, advised them to be united in the pursuit of the agenda of the association.
He said that WICA was formed to spiritually ensure the welfare of the Igbo race worldwide, saying that the officials should do their best to bring Igbo clergies in Kubwa to be members of the noble organization.
The Kubwa chapter chairman, Apostle Dr. Godson Frederick, speaking on behalf of other members, thanked the national president and national secretary for conducting a rancour free election.
He assured that the executive of the chapter will mobilise other members to unite Igbo clergies in Kubwa to advance the wellbeing of Igbo people.
The election took place on Saturday September at the Life-Care Bible Church, Kubwa.
