The gallant troops of Operation DESERT SANITY have neutralized the Amir and spiritual head of Galta, including several other Islamic State West African Province/Boko Haram (ISWAP/BH) terrorists around Manjo Ali Qere in Borno State.

This feat was achieved during an aggressive clearance operation in the general area of Borno State on Thursday 28 April 2022.

In a post shared on the official Facebook handle of the Nigerian Army, HQ Nigerian Army, monitored by Enugu Reporters noted that arms and ammunition were also captured from the fleeing terrorists.

However, Nigerians are worried that positive results recorded sooner than later vanish by lethal and deadly reprisals carried out by the terrorists leading to the need for a thorough screening of existing soldiers and even greater screening of fresh recruits and a change in operational modes to avoid loosing gains recorded.
Also, Nigerians are suggesting greater use of technology provided by NIGComsat and by the use of drones for a more effective war against terrorism and banditry.
