President Bola Tinubu convened a high-profile security meeting with service chiefs and other heads of security agencies at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 .
The meeting, held in response to the recent surge in security breaches across the country, especially in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), aimed to address the growing concerns over the audacious activities of kidnappers.
Among the key attendees were General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff; Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff; Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogala, Chief of Naval Staff; Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff; Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector General of Police, and heads of other security outfits.
While no official briefing has been provided about the meeting, it is anticipated that President Tinubu and the assembled security chiefs will conduct a comprehensive review of the recent security situations in different parts of the country.
The primary focus will be on devising effective strategies to curb the rising criminal activities, particularly those involving kidnappers and bandits.
