President Bola Tinubu has given approval for a significant shakeup with the appointment of 11 new Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) to steer the helm of agencies under the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy.

The move was unveiled in a statement by the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, setting the stage for a fresh chapter in the cultural and creative landscape.

The newly appointed CEOs, each with their unique charge, promise to infuse vigor into their respective domains. Among them, Tony Akerele steps into the role of Director-General at the National Theatre, while Dr. Shaibu Husseini assumes the mantle of Director-General at the National Films and Censors Board. The lineup also includes Obi Asika as Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Aisha Adamu Augie heading the Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture, and Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan taking the reins as Chief Conservator at the National War Museum.
