Enugu, the Coal City, will next week host the massive launch of a book described as the ‘authentic story’ of Gov. Peter Obi.

Enugu Sports Club is venue for the book presentation on Wednesday, 21 September 2022.

The book, The Promise of a New Era, explores the Peter Obi persona and how he operated as a State Governor.

The Peter Obi Story…the book

It gives an insight into Mr. Obi’s decision-making skills and the values that drive his current quest for the presidency. The author also investigated Obi’s early beginnings to understand the values that shaped his life, through family upbringing and education.

Author, polemicist and veteran journalist, Chuks Iloegbunam, wrote The Promise of a New Era. Iloegbunam witnessed Obi’s management style firsthand when he served as first Chief of Staff to the former Anambra Governor.

Today, Enugu Metro serves a second appetizer from the book that chronicles the PeterObistory. We published the first excerpt from the book on 19 July 2022.

This excerpt explains what Obi means when he describes himself as “a trader.” It also describes how he developed the skills to become an international operator.

The excerpt is taken from the chapter tiled: Peter Obi, as Tough as Nails.
