Media relations consultant, Chief Fidel Onyeneke, has been appointed a Special Adviser on Imo Orientation Agency to the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued in Owerri over the weekend, by the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Chief Declan Emelumba.
The appointment is with immediate effect.
Onyeneke is a renowned public affairs and political analyst and was the state Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Imo Council.
He also served as the National Trustee of NUJ.
A seasoned broadcast journalist with vast experiences in various aspects of the media profession, Onyeneke had trainings from within and outside the country.
He worked as a senior editorial staff of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and Radio Benue, Makurdi, among other notable media outfits.
Chief Onyeneke also served as board member, Imo State Orientation Agency (ISOA) and Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC).
Apart from his lecturership duties, the media guru worked as a Special Assistant on Media Matters to the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, in Imo state.
Onyeneke is a highly respected Communicator, and Information Specialist.
He is also a Fellow and Member of many Professional Associations, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Chief Onyeneke is widely travelled across the world, and he is happily married with children.
