Labour Party‘s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Saturday in Oshogbo, the Osun state capital told his teeming supporters to vote out the old order called political structure and save Nigeria.
Obi whose Campaign train arrived the South Western state and was received by jubilant organic crowd told the campaign rally that taking back Nigeria from the old order is a task that must be done using our PVCs. He urged them to ensure that they collect their PVCs
The LP candidate attributed the country’s challenges to the so called structures that the major political parties are flaunting that needs to be dismantled by voting them out.
He noted that the old order holding the country down kept on bragging that they have structures. Yet, they are not doing anything. They are not producing anything in this state, youths remain unemployed and abandoned, this ugly situation we will change if you vote us in.
“Nigerians are hungry, youths have no job. It is not safe to travel anywhere in Nigeria today. All these challenges are caused by those who say they have party structures. But these structures have crippled Nigeria. I want me and you to destroy these structures by voting them out next month,” he urged.
The former Anambra state Governor said that he and his running mate Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmad who had been successful in private live before venturing into public service will rescue and rebuild the country.
“We are going to secure and unite Nigeria. We want Nigeria to be proud of being a Nigerian. We will deliver a secured Nigeria. We don’t want Nigerians to be in IDPs camps, we don’t want you to be a slave in your own country,” he“We are going to govern this country with fear of God. We will give you jobs. We will change Nigeria from a consuming country to a producing country,”
According to the LP standard bearer, the old order which you must destroy with your votes use ethnicity and religious reasons to deceive you but this time you should consider merit, competence, character and capacity in next month’s election.
Obi also promised to fight Corruption and return Nigeria to a production nation from its present consumption status
While In Oshogbo, Obi interacted with strategic groups including Labour leaders and Women and youths.
