A Nigerian has died after he donated one of his kidneys to save his dying mother.

A Twitter user, identified as Abubakah Sadiq Kurbe, announced the death of the man, whom he referred to as his brother.

He did not give further details about the identity of the ill-fated kidney donor.

But he described him as a hero.

Abubakah Sadiq Kurbe, who shared this heart-touching report, wrote: “He died after donating his kidney to his mother. Allah sarki man.

“Indeed my brother you died a Hero. I feel the pain and the Mother she is alive

“May Almighty Allah reward him jannatul Firdaus.”

The tweet was made amid the ongoing organ harvest saga involving Senator Ike Ekweremadu and a 21-year-old boy David Nwamini Ukpo, in the United Kingdom.

Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice are bring detained after theybwere charged with conspiracy, human traficking and organ harvesting before Uxbridge Magistrates court by the Metropolitan police.

Reports said that Ukpo had agreed to donate one of his kidneys to Sonia Ekweremadu, the daughter of Ike and Beatrice Ekweremadu, who is down with kidney failure, to save her life.

The arrangement had gone awry, when Ukpo raised the alarm and began to tell a different story that made it look like he was tricked to London for organ harvesting instead of the promise of a job in that country.

But there are documents to support Ekweremadus’ narrative that the 21-year-old boy was in London after he consented to assist dining Sonia with one of his kidneys.

The case was adjourned to July 7, 2022 when hearing and bail application will be taken.
