Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, ha sympathised with President Bola Tinubu over a slipping incident that happened to him while he was trying to board a Presidential Parade Vehicle at the 2024 Democracy Day event which took place at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
Tribune Online reported that Tinubu, on Wednesday, missed his steps and fell after he was stepped into the parade vehicle and heading to the place where he would stand before moving round Eagle Square tobreview the joint Military, Police and Para-Military Parade, but quickly regained his balance and stood up.
The development has continued to generate different reactions on social media, with many sympathising with the President.
Joining netizens to react to the incident, Atiku, via a post on his X handle, described the incident as ‘unfortunate,’ saying that he hoped the president was in good condition.
He tweeted, “I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu, @officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day.
“I do hope that all is well with him. -AA.”
Earlier, the Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, reacted to the incident and described it as a ‘mild misstep,’ adding that the president is in good condition.
