Finitiri, Binani others known faith today as voters in the southern senatorial district troupedout in their numbers to vote their preferred candidate.
In Toungo town, at the INEC office, officials were seen giving out voting materials to Corp members and officials enrout to their various units as early as 7am while by 8am the officials and security personnel were already set in all the polling unit visited.
In Toungo ward 1,2,and 3 voting stared by 830pm and there was large turnout of voters in the various units of the ward.
Among those that voted in Toungo ward 1 polling unit 5 is the council chairman Engr. Suleiman Ahmed Gangkuba and Mr. Kefas Kelvin PDP House of Assembly candidate casted their votes.
In a separate interview commended the process and called for peace throughout the elections.
The election went on peacefully in Kiri 1 ward despite slight problem of missing ballot papers.
Electoral officer for Toungo local government area,Mr. Hammaadama Maigari in an interview explained that there was no missing ballot papers but that 10 ballot booklets meat for Mubi North was sent to Toungo that was what caused the difference.
He said the headquarters have notified and it has been addressed.
Similarly, the voting in Ganye town also went on well, voters came out very early in all the polling unit visited.
At the Gangwari palace, the paramount ruler, Alhaji UmaruAdamu Sanda, Gangwari Ganye was among the early voters, he urged the voters to remain peacefully and also advice the electoral officials to do due diligence.
Chairman of Ganye local Alhaji Jibril Ali went round some wards and polling unit after casting his vote at Ganye 1 ward.
Speaking to journalists after going round some polling unit thanked the people of Ganye for not only comming out in their number but also conducting themselves peacefully.
In Jada local government area part of the southern senatorial district of Adamawa state, the House of Representatives member elect, Alhaji Innua Mohammed Bassi was among the early voters in Karelin ward.
He commended the turnout of voters in today’s election, “I have gone round, the excerse is peaceful, election materials were sent on time and l am sure we will have a successful election in Jada local government area.
