Residents of Nnewi Urban are jubilating and praising God for the arrival of DONAC-ADON Farmers Market at Uruagu, Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria. Their joy knew no bounds when they witnessed the official opening and dedication ceremony of this DONAC-ADON Farmers Market on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. From within and without, crowds gathered at the building that houses this unique farmers’ supermarket. Indeed, July 12, was a day of joy and testimonies in the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion), as the Clergy, Church Teachers, Evangelists, local helpers and all church workers welcomed the Nnewi Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi to the premises of the farmers market facilitated by the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) for official commissioning and dedication. The Bishop and his entourage arrived at the venue by 2:00pm, and the ceremony began in earnest.

With much joy in his heart, the Bishop presided at the commissioning and dedication of DONAC-ADON Farmers Market to the glory of God. He made many prayers and declarations, walking and entering into the departments and sections of the building and the entire premises of the market. Both the Project Manager, Apostle Ndubisi Uzor and all the Clergymen who accompanied him did not stop shouting ‘Amen,’ on every prayer at every stop.

This modern farmers’ market is one out of various business ventures initiated and established by the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) through the God-given vision and relentless effort of the incumbent Bishop of the Diocese. The farmers market is an outlet of the DONAC-ADON Farms, Ihite, Okija.

This market is a home for all organic foods and the showroom for DONAC Rice, DONAC Garri, DONAC Plantain flour and fruits and vegetables. In this farmers’ market are a fresh food center, fresh fruit center, barbing saloon, instant laundry, car wash service center and some equipment for mechanized farming.
