The Anambra Ministry of Culture, Entertainment and Tourism has temporarily sealed Wintess Garden Hotel and Suites, Ifite, Awka, Anambra State over alleged public sex scandal.

A video of a sex party which allegedly held at Wintess Garden Hotel, Ifite, Awka, Anambra State by persons alleged to be student influencers and promoters of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka had hit viral on Social Media platforms, triggering negative and sad reactions from the public.

According to the said event flyer, the event was held on 03 September 2022 at Wintess Garden Annex, Ifite, Awka, Anambra State.

In the video, the alleged students were seen in series of pornographic activities in the full glare of all that attended the party. The video which showed several male and female partners who were making out with each other, is said to have been recorded at Wintess Garden, a hotel that is located very close to the institution.

However, the school management and Students Union Government have denied in a disclaimer that the culprits were the students of the institution.

Similarly,Wintess Garden Hotels and Suits had earlier issued a disclaimer stating that such event never occured in their premises.

But a Twitter user @itz_daddyjoe who first shared the nude party video online, wrote: ”It is very unfortunate that the school environment which most of us graduated from is turning into something else. I bet that’s why I couldn’t live in Ifite Awka during my University days. A sex party at Wintess Garden hotel Ifite Unizik is condemnable. @AfamDeluxo  bia Ka ifuru”

The Anambra State government has maintained that the measure to close down the hotel became necessary to make room for proper investigation and warned that the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo will never allow such anomalies in the State.
