Anambra state Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s, house is in turmoil following a sharp disagreement between him and his son, Ozonna, over the credibility or otherwise of Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party as well as Obi’s capacity to win the 2023 presidential election.

Soludo’s son, outrightly dismissed his father’s assertion of Peter Obi’s presidential ambition, declaring that his father got it all wrong.

The Anambra state governor wrote a long article highlighting why he thinks Obi won’t win the 2023 presidential election.

Soludo’s seemingly unprovoked verbal beef on Obi seems not to have gone down well with his son, Ozonna, who promptly countered his father, insisting that Obi is the best presidential candidate in the 2023 election.

Ozonna Soludo did not mince words declaring that Peter Obi of the Labour Party is the best presidential candidate in the presidential election.

The 28-year old UK-based artiste made the comment on Facebook in response to a social media post criticizing his father for opposing Obi’s presidential ambition.

Ozonna said Peter Obi is the best candidate despite his father’s stance.

Prof. Soludo, on Monday, openly and in a manner that portrayed him as having scores to settle, dismissed Obi’s presidential ambition, saying he won’t win.

Ozonna qho however said he does not want to be dragged into politics, stated without equivocation that he prefers Obi to other candidates,  adding that his father got it all wrong.

“I am not an extension of anybody. I have my own opinions and have always said I think Peter is the best candidate. All this has nothing to do with me,” he stressed.

Analysts say the attacks Soludo received from Nigerian youths who took to the social media to upbraid him for levelling such vicious attacks on Soludo, is a lesson for Nigerian politicians to stick to issues rather than seeking who to run down.

They added that the old generation of Nigerian politicians must realise that the Nigerian youths are tired of supporting leaders who have nothing to offer and who are reputed to either be among the rogue elements or seen to be part of the status quo that has kept Nigeria on the sliding tide.
