Osimhen, Lookman nominated for Serie A  Player of the Month Award

Nigerian duo, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman have been nominated for  Serie A Player of the Month award for October, reports PNO Sports.

Osimhen and Lookman were both in fantastic form for Napoli and Atalanta respectively in the month.

Osimhen, 23, who failed to make an appearance for Napoli in September as a result of injury returned with a bang in October.

The forward scored five goals in three league appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s side.

The former Lille star  scored a goal each against Bologna and AS Roma before netting a hat-trick versus Sassuolo last weekend.

Lookman on his part, registered four goals in five appearances for Atalanta in October.

The pacy winger was on target against Fiorentina,  Udinese, Sassuolo and Empoli.

The duo will battle AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Inter Milan’s midfielder, Nicolo Barella and Lazio star, Sergej Milinkovic-  Savic for the individual prize.
