…Says APC in Lagos is already afraid of the ‘Obidients’

A chieftain of the Labour Party, Tim Ogwuru has reassured Nigerian Youths that Peter Obi and his Labour Party (LP) is the only candidate and party that will not betray their trust if elected as the next President of the country in 2023.
Ogwuru who Spoke with our reporter on Thursday following the mammoth crowd that greeted the LP Candidate in Jos explained that Obi has a personality which the youth want to identify with.
“Obi’s simplicity is contagious. He does not behave like a normal Nigerian politician who would rather display affluence with stolen funds, build castles all over the country, fly in first class and chase people way with intimidating security men.
“Obi was a banker and understands the value of money. Before joining politics, he was already a billionaire but many Nigerians were not aware.
“As a governor of Anambra state, he never harassed anyone nor was he invited by anti-graft agencies to explain some of his financial transactions. He left Anambra state government with more resources that he inherited. That is leadership, that is vision.
“Obi is unassuming. He tries to set his priorities and has an execution plan which he implements to the letter. These are the virtues that the Nigerian youths have identified and are committed to queue behind him and ensure he emerges as the next President of the country”.
The former Spokesperson to the 2019 PDP Presidential Campaign Council of Atiku Abubakar said that none of the other Presidential aspirant can march Obi in integrity, vision, humility and ability to get the job done.
Ogwuru called on Nigerian youth to understand that 2023 presents another opportunity to reset the country and encouraged them to continue to insist that it is time to elect new set of leaders that will do things differently.
On the suite that barred Labour party from holding their march from the Lekki Toll gate, Ogwuru said, “Lagos state government has already seen that the crowd that will turn out on October 1st in Solidarity with Obi and the Labour Party will be unprecedented, that was why they quickly initiated the suit by proxy to stop the ‘Obidien’t youths from using the Lekki Toll facility as take-off point. The ‘Obidients’ are law abiding and will not do anything that will run foul of the law.
“Indeed, the court asked them not to assemble in the facility but it did not prevent them from carrying out the exercise. So, it is a win for the Labour party. The crowd will be so massive that even APC members will lose confidence in their candidate.
“Even Tinubu will be embarrassed by the crowd. Young Nigerians are now speaking with one voice. They are determined to change their future. They are determined to re-write their history and better their future. They have realized that it is only better Obi that can guarantee such a future that they so much dream about” Ogwuru stated.
You may wish to recall that a Lagos Division of the Federal High Court on Wednesday restrained Peter Obi’s Labour Party (LP) and its supporters from using the Lekki Tollgate as a base to hold the ‘Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally’ on October 1st.
Justice Daniel Osiagor asked the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, and the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Abiodun Alabi, to ensure compliance with the court order.
The Justice held that while Obi’s supporters cannot stop at the Lekki toll gate, they can pass through the venue to access Falomo Bridge and other venues at which the rally plans to meet.
The ruling followed a lawsuit filed by a group of legal practitioners, who sought to halt the rally, specifically in Lagos, Nigeria’s most popular metropolitan city, to avoid a reminiscence of the #EndSARS protest in 2020.
The lawyers, through their lead counsel, Temilola Awosika, had filed a motion at the Federal High Court, asking that Mr Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, be barred from using the Lekki Tollgate for their rally.
They told the court that holding the rally would cause a breakdown of peace and will result in post-traumatic stress disorder for them and the public.
