Supporters of former Anambra Governor and Labour Party Presidential Candidate Mr Peter Obi Saturday shutdown Enugu in a conference tagged “Charity begins at home.”

Thousands of supporters took over the major streets of Enugu in Labour Party colours singing in praise of Peter Obi.

The mammoth crowd which converged at the Okpara Square take-off point marched through the major roads of the Enugu Coal City.

Saturday conference which later held at the Shoprite Event Centre is the first major show of support by the Obident group in the headquarters of the South East.

The event demistifies the intimidating billboards which had taken over most parts of the state capital with simple inscriptions “Enugu, charity begins at home.”

EverydayNews findings reveal that the conference was put together by the Capt. Evarest Nnaji (Odengene) led Enugu Peter Obi Support Group to join other parts of Nigeria where youths have spoken with one voice for a change in the administration of the country.

The Nigerian youths have rejected the old crop of politicans who have repeatedly failed the people.
