Controversial actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate, Doris Ogala, has reportedly been remanded at Ikoyi Prison in Lagos over a case involving Pastor Chris Okafor.

Ogala appeared in court on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, after a bench warrant was reportedly issued against her.

The case concerns allegations she made against the pastor, although details of the court proceedings have not been independently established from the available information.

Popular commentator Deeone disclosed the development on his platform, Deeone TV, claiming that Ogala was remanded pending a bail hearing.

In his account of the proceedings, Deeone said the actress lacked sufficient evidence to support some of her allegations against Okafor.

“Some of those allegations she doesn’t have proof, you know, she doesn’t have tangible proof, nothing concrete right now. So pending the time she can get a date for a bail hearing, she’ll be in Ikoyi prison,” Deeone said.

Ogala reportedly arrived at the court with supporters, some of whom staged a peaceful protest calling for her release.

Before her court appearance, the actress had raised concerns about her case on social media. She alleged that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) was working against her and claimed there was an effort to ensure she remained in custody.

The claims about the DPP have not been independently verified.

Ogala has previously made public allegations involving other prominent Nigerian religious figures, including Pastor Johnson Suleman and Pastor Jerry Eze. Deeone clarified that the current case concerns Okafor and Ogala, adding that it was unclear whether the other individuals she mentioned would pursue legal action.

The reported remand has drawn responses from social media users, with some expressing support and praying for her release, while others criticised her.

Neither the court’s full account of the proceedings nor a confirmed date for Ogala’s bail hearing was included in the available report.
