The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) joined key stakeholders during the launch of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Initiative for Zero-Rated Access to  Educational Platforms and Content in Nigeria, held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, recently.

Representing DBI at the high-level event were the Director, Special Duties, Ms. Viola Askia-Usoro and the Lead Special Projects/New media, Temidayo Olaloye Babansulaimon.

The initiative showcased a significant step towards tackling problems liked to connectivity and affordability barriers to digital education, through enabling more Nigerians to gain access to approved educational platforms and contents without data charges, subject to applicable framework.

For the DBI, participating at the initiative further reinforces its commitment to supporting national efforts that expand access to education, digital skills and opportunities for Nigerians

Through collaboration with stakeholders across the digital ecosystem, DBI explained that it remains committed to advancing digital inclusion and contributing to a more accessible, inclusive.

It also noted it’s readiness to digitally empowering Nigerians.by bridginh the digital divide and creating greater opportunities for all.
