The 11th season of Big Brother Naija officially premiered on Saturday, with 24 housemates unveiled to compete for the show’s grand prize of N160 million under the theme “Show Yourself.”

The reality show organisers introduced contestants from different parts of Nigeria and beyond, each promising drama, strategy, and entertainment as they prepare to spend the next few weeks in Biggie’s house.

Among the contestants is Tram, a 24-year-old Lagos-based streamer who made it clear he is entering the house solely to win the competition.

“I’m here for one thing only, the game. No romance, no distractions, no apologies,” he said.

Temi Nkem, a 21-year-old raised in London, also ruled out both relationships and domestic duties, insisting she would play the game strictly on her own terms.

For Martins, a 30-year-old model and visual storyteller from Kogi State, the BBNaija platform is an opportunity to tell his story to the world.

“I want the world to see me. I want Nigerians to say after the show that anything is possible,” he said.

One of the early talking points came from Abi, a 25-year-old chef and model from Osun State, who revealed she met her husband on TikTok and promised to bring an “Italian experience” into the house.

Anambra-born pharmacist Chimsom Chuka said his focus is to enjoy the experience while remaining authentic.

“I want Nigerians to say they had fun watching me,” he said.

Benue-born web developer Keivo described himself as logical and original, saying viewers would remember him as someone who always keeps his word.

Massage therapist and concierge CEO Mercedes declared she was prepared to sacrifice everything for the game.

“If trading myself is what it takes, I’m authentic, and I don’t hide my emotions,” she said.

Perhaps one of the boldest introductions came from Kamsy, who described herself as the “salt, pepper and pepper soup” of the season.

“Chaos, mystery… I’m the reason this season will be interesting,” she declared.

Lagos-based dancer Sultex introduced himself as a “playboy,” promising Gen Z energy throughout the competition, while Abuja-based caterer and web developer Aikou said he would combine simplicity with complexity inside the house.

Beauty entrepreneur Flora ruled out falling in love, promising instead to dominate every party in the house with her energy.

For Bells, cleanliness is non-negotiable.

“You can become my enemy if you’re dirty,” she warned.

On-air personality Gerard described dishonesty as his biggest turn-off, while Oyin, a 22-year-old entrepreneur and model from Ogun State, said she was entering the competition armed with multiple winning strategies.

Mother and fitness enthusiast Sheba admitted she remains open to finding love, while fashion model Araga boldly described himself as “the last loverboy standing in Nigeria.”

Port Harcourt-based writer Ricky hinted there was more to his calm personality than people might expect, while fashion designer Nomy promised to let her work speak louder than words.

Civil engineer and designer Barry warned that disrespect would instantly make anyone his enemy.

Hair entrepreneur Neche said she would abandon any strategy that failed to favour her, while actor Yusuf admitted he could be selfish but insisted his personality was “unbeatable.”

Musician Goddessa promised to “bring sexiness and shake the table,” declaring that the house should be prepared for her arrival.

Photographer and model Bluethopia described herself as a natural party starter, while entrepreneur and actor Cassi rounded off the lineup, saying his creativity and organisation could either become his greatest strength or biggest weakness in the competition.

The 24 housemates will now battle for the N160 million grand prize in what organisers say will be be one of the most dramatic editions of the reality show.
