Today, Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Diamond Birthday and Book Launch of Chief Barr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye, curiously being awaited by the global community with relish, have kicked off with well-coordinated, structured, and primed activities, pomp and pageantry.
The four-day event, to be chaired by the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, beholds the attendance of Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State, President of Ghana, Paul Mahama, Billionaire Business Moguls, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Chief Femi Otedola, among others.
The Celebrant, Chief success Akagburuonye, who hails from Ogbor Uvuru, in Aboh Mbaise, Imo State, is a Billionaire Businessman, Philanthropist, Kingdom Investor, and Politician.
A man, born 60 years ago, without ‘golden spoons’, but by the Grace of God, is today, lavishly dishing out ‘spoons’ that are beyond gold, to the lowly and the downtrodden, building industries to create employments, worship centres to advance the Kingdom of God, award scholarships to enhance an informed society, among others, all by the reason of God’s faithfulness over his life.
The talk-of-the-town and well publicised event, also documents the experiences of an Icon who has passed through the valley of the shadow of death, with a thousand falling by his side and ten thousand on his right side, in pursuit of a family, community and destiny changing story, in a biographical book titled, Me And My God. The Book, from its title suggests a portrait of Chief Akagburuonye’s unwavering faith in the mystery of God’s Grace, travails and triumphs in the marketplace of life.
Thursday, the 19th of February, the event will kickstart with a Conference on Leadership and Politics for the Christendom to be Chaired by Senator C. Anthony Muse, in collaboration with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), in Owerri. Thereafter, the commissioning of Hope Rising for Imolites, Owerri office, a campaign/political meetings arena, will take place.
The hosting of the Elderly, and conferment of Akaraugo 1 of Igboland on Chief Success Akagburuonye, by South East Traditional Rulers, holds on Friday, at Ogbor Uvuru. An honour and recognition for his numerous financial and infrastructure support he has impacted on the South East geopolitical zone.
Also, taking place on Saturday, is the induction/investiture of Chief Akagburuonye as the National Life Patron of UNIEC Worldwide (a diaspora organization) and Chairman, Board of Directors of Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Limited, presentation of gift by Imo State Association of Post Graduate Students (ISAPS), commissioning of New Football Pitch, donated by Chief Akagburuonye and Novelty Match between former Super Eagles and Hope Superstars, a football team of friends of Akagburuonye, at Uvuru.
The novelty Football Match is being coordinated by the Super Eagles legend, the mathematical Segun Odegbami. The likes of J.J.Okocha, Mutiu Adepoju, Kanu Nwankwo, Finidi George, Taribo West, among others, will be on play.
The grand finale of the evergreen event holds on Sunday, at Noah’s Ark, Assemblies of God, Ogbor Uvuru, with the Birthday thanksgiving service. The book launch takes place at Primary School, Ogbor Uvuru, immediately after the service. The commissioning of the Family House and Airport Ogbor Road projects heralds the end of the historic glorious birthday of a Kingdom Ambassador, Real Estate Icon, The Sun Humanitarian Award Winner, Akuruo Ulo 1 of Mbaise, Akaraugo 1 of Igboland, Philanthropist extra-ordinaire, good family man, with his precious wife, Children and grand Child, and Politician of note, and by the Grace of God, Imo State Governor, in waiting.
