The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and several independent filling stations have further reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in Abuja.

Checks across the city on Tuesday showed that NNPCL retail outlets have adjusted their pump price to N915 per litre, down from N920, representing a N5 reduction.

Similarly, major operators such as MRS and BOVAS have lowered their prices to N910 per litre, a notable drop from previous rates as high as N945.

Other filling stations — including AYM Shafa, NIPCO, Optima, Mobil, Ranoil, and Empire — now sell petrol within the range of N920 to N937 per litre.

The downward adjustments follow recent ex-depot price trends, with petrol selling at N824.50 per litre at Dangote Refinery, N823 at Eterna and Aiteo, and N822 at BOVAS.

This marks the second time in two weeks that NNPCL and other retail outlets have reviewed petrol prices downward, accounting for a total reduction of N30 from previous highs of N945 per litre.
