Few weeks after the infamous incidents involving KWAM1 and and Ibom Air female passenger, Comfort Emmanson, another incident has occurred.

This time, it involves a passenger with the newly inaugurated Enugu Air, who was dragged out of the aircraft for allegedly disobeying aviation security protocol.

The incident occurred at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

A video trending on social media shows the moment the passenger was being dragged out, with some passengers supporting the action of the aviation officials as being in cync with the laws.

The passenger could as well be heard saying in native language “Did I steal? Leave my waist”.

Meanwhile, though the passenger is yet to be identified as of filing this report, there are claims that he refused to switch off his phone despite series of warnings.

His action contravenes the directive of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, regarding passenger heeding to aviation instructions.

Advancing information  available on the incident, a social media user, Mike Ebuka had written: “From the information I gathered from one of the passengers, the man refused to switch off his mobile phone despite several requests from the Pilot-in-Command (PIC). 

“Upon return to the apron, the PIC instructed that the passenger be stepped down from the aircraft. However, the passenger refused to disembark voluntarily. 

“Airport security  (FAAN Security) had to intervene and forcibly remove him from the aircraft to ensure the safety other passengers.  I wonder why it’s difficult for some passengers to abide by simple security protocol.”

 Aviation monitors recall that after the Ibom Air saga, NCAA ordered that passengers must switch off their phones during take-off and landing, thereby banning use of airplane mode.

Enugu Air, a state-owned commercial airline, commenced operations on Monday, July 7, and is already expanding its operation network across the country.
