The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has discovered its sustained air operations in the North-East, stating that at least 592 terrorists were killed and 372 enemy assets destroyed within the last eight months.

Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to  Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, in Maiduguri.

According to a statement by the NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, “the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai executed 798 combat sorties and logged over 1,500 operational flight hours during the period under review.

“The strikes targeted terrorist strongholds, destroying 206 vehicles and 166 logistics hubs deep inside hostile territory.

“Backed by an upgraded fleet and enhanced precision night-strike capabilities, our air operations have significantly crippled terrorist mobility and supply chains in the theatre of operations,” Abubakar said.

Confirming the operations, the Governor of Borno State , Prof. Bahama Zulum, commended NAF for its sustained support in degrading terrorist capabilities and safeguarding communities across the state.
