Catholic Bishop, 2 priests miraculously escapes death

The Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Jonas Benson Okoye, miraculously escaped death after his vehicle was involved in an accident along Agulu Lake Road on their return from Ukpor to Agulu in Anambra State. 

Accompanying him were two of his priests.

The three men were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by sympathisers, and all of them are currently receiving treatment under professional medical supervision.

Confirming the incident in a statement shared via the social media, the Catholic Treasure Facebook page page, the body expressed gratitude that no life was lost in the incident.

“Thank God for the life of our dear Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Jonas Benson Okoye and two of his priests… Thanks be to God!” the post reads.

The post was also accompanied by pictures from the scene of the crash, showing the damaged vehicles involved in the crash.

Although details of the circumstances that to the crash and the current condition of the victims are yet to be made public, the incident has continued to attract prayers and reactions from residents of Anambra State and other well-meaning Nigerians. (Courtesy: 234ureport)
