The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has extended heartfelt felicitations to fathers across the globe as part of this year’s Father’s Day celebration, praising their immense sacrifices and unwavering support to families and society at large.

Speaking on Sunday in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Senator Azuta Mbata, lauded the unique role played by responsible fathers, describing their love, strength, and commitment as “remarkable and worthy of celebration.”

In his message, Senator Mbata remarked:
“The sacrifices, self-denial, love, protection, and care demonstrated by responsible fathers on a daily basis to their families and beyond are remarkable and worthy of celebration.”

He further noted that while many of the emotional burdens and efforts of fathers often go unnoticed, their influence remains irrefutable.
“While often, a father’s tears, struggles and anxiety are hidden, his protection, love, care and compassion to his family remain glaringly undoubted,” Mbata added.

He also used the occasion to encourage fathers to continue being resilient, patient, and responsible in their roles as leaders and pillars of their families.

“Fathers must keep showing courage and stability as they bear the burdens of families and contribute meaningfully to humanity,” Mbata emphasized.
