Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, on Tuesday,  received the heroic Immigration officer, Prince Orji Ugochukwu who arrested the fleeing Enugu native doctor.

It could be recalled that notorious crime suspect, Obi Levi Obieze, popularly known as ‘E Dey Play E Dey Show’, as well Ezeani, was fleeing Nigeria when he was arrested at the Seme border in Lagos State.

Obieze was being trailed by security agents for alleged ritual murder after two decomposing female corpses were reportedly found in a pit within his compound in Enugu State.

His two mansions in Ezeagu Local Government Area have since been demolished in accordance with the state government’s law against kidnapping.

Obieze, in a bid to escape arrest was leaving for  a neighboring country when he was identified and accosted by the vigilant immigration officer.

He reportedly  offered N10 million and an iPhone to the officer to let him go but the officer rejected the bribe.

Governor Mbah has now received him, at the Enugu Government House, hailing his patriotic act.

The governor wrote on X, “I was delighted to receive Prince Orji Ugochukwu, the immigration officer who apprehended the prime suspect in the gruesome incident that occurred in Ezeagu, while the suspect was attempting to flee across the Nigerian border.

“Ugochukwu has distinguished himself as a man of integrity who, when faced with a test of character, chose duty over personal gain and upheld the honour of his uniform.

“I commended him for his patriotism, courage, and refusal to compromise his values. His actions reflect the very spirit of service we strive to instill in our institutions. He is indeed a worthy role model, and we greatly appreciate his effort.”
