Jose Mourinho has made history in world football by becoming the first ever manager to win European trophies with four different, with Roma, his current club in Italy, handing down a 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Europa Conference League Cup.

The Portuguese coach had wept on the day he reached the finals of the football event, was no less emotional, few hours after he publicly discarded the tag – The Special One, saying it was now about the team rather than himself, hours ahead of the victory.

The relatively unknown coach had broken into the world arena when he led Porto to win the Champions League, which he repeated with Chelsea and Inter Milan, while leading Manchester United to win the Europa League in 2017.

Before Wednesday’s feat, he had become the first manager to reach European finals with four different clubs, and the victory which came from Nicolo Zaniolo’s at the 32nd minute, just sealed another first for the versatile coach who left Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League to pick up the Roma job.

Reports say, Mourinho was moved to tears by his fifth continental cup as a coach, the first for an Italian team since he led Inter Milan to the Champions league in 2010, which came with Zaniolo striking ending a successful first season for the Portuguese.
